While it's not the exact color as photographed, I knew to expect it would be different. Anyone who ordered this exact bag and expected it to look as pictured, obviously isn't too bright. it IS 100% Cotton Canvas. For those who added pictures. I will be adding my own soon. When you actually put books into the bag it is virtually identical to the pictured version (worn color aside). Oh, and the strap. Yeah it's thin, but if it were wider it wouldn't look right. Everyone needs to remember, The one pictured looks more worn then a new one.
Best part of this back, the extra pen pockets and flap in front. Overall exceptionally functional and stylish to boot. Icing on the cake, seller shipped same day as ordered-received 4 days from date of ordering!!

This is really good if you're looking for a softer messenger bag that's not as stiff as most. Looks great, but I wouldn't recommend getting it if you're planning on carrying a heavy load. The thin shoulder strap won't help with that much.
Those inner compartments are nice for organizing stuff, but I think the best part is that front snap pocket where you can put pencils, pens, and random school junk inside. I love that thing--means less rummaging around for me.
Overall, I'd my money was pretty well spent. Shipping was faster than I expected too.

I use this bag for school and it's perfect. The three seperate pouches make it easy to divide all the different books I carry. It also can hold nine different pens/pencils and has a nice pouch for carrying miscelaneous items. If I were to make a change it would be to the shoulder strap. I carry three books and a binder every day and the shoulder strap doesn't have any padding at all. This can be a bit rough on your shoulder. I have owned this bag for over 25 years. Bought it when they first came out when I was in college. I have carried it throughout the US and Europe and it has served me well. I have carried everything from books to laptops to automotive tools to clothes. It has been my constant companion. If you are going to use it as a laptop bag, also buy a padded neoprene pouch for the laptop to put it in before putting it in this bag. This bag is not padded at all. This bag was just what my son was looking for to carry books, cds, pens, etc. The color was great and bag seems very durable. My only comment was the strap is a little short---however, he's 6' 4". The company was very friendly and kept me informed of the item until delivery. I will definitely buy again from this company!
